Lee was advocating wholesale devastation of the region (he began with the well known "glass parking lot" phrase) and the extermination of Islam as a religion because it's "primitive", not the elimination of brutal totalitarian regimes or nests of terrorists.

That would be genocide.

As far as I know, nothing resembling this is US policy. If I knew that it was, I would have been on a bus to NYC to participate in what some people call "treason".

It was a theoretical discussion. Do you understand the context of my post title better now?
