Mark is not the only one

The message of this legislation is short and clear:

Protecting the Earth from impact and setting a planetary defense in place take priority over sending men to Mars.

The other message, is a little more complex, but here it is. The US has other uses for space besides sending men to Mars, and everyone is pretty well fed up with the Mars Nuts dominating the discussion and the agenda.
