Not sure whether its just hers or yours too Don. Thought you agreed we had to finish the job right regardless of how flawed you thought the reasons for going in were. If that is till true why did you spotlight a piece like this?
Al-quieda would love another lawless Muslim country they could use as a base.
Muslim countries would not trust US help in providing security.
I'm sure the French/German/Russian axis would love us to give up and have a collosal failure they could point to a reason to ignore US opinion in international matters.
Democrat's would point to the failure as unrealistic Bush policy with regard to the possibility of building a democratic Iraq when in fact the political deathblow would be from home.
I'm sure the Bush admin will see this as a real helpful idea for them.
