Actually, very few of the posters reference God and religion much in here and I'm very appreciative. I'm probably basing that statement more on what I hear external to this area with the more extreme folks on the right. I'm actually bewildered that the very intelligent, science-seeking individuals who I assume inhabit this community can have such arch-conservative views. It's just been my experience in life that when you see that combination of a quest for science along the black and white of the neo-con, that usually religion is the force that's muddying the waters.
Also, the day I made this post, I was assaulted on the street by a screaming street preacher so my religious tolerance was a bit down.
