re: I know...

I have been busting my butt looking up links and other items to back up my positions. It's getting old, and half the people here don't read them anyway, so sometimes I just don't bother.

Go back and Google news stories in the range of October of 2001, and see what All The Right People were saying about Afghanistan. There were marches against the war all over the world, and a lot of the same pundits currently holding the spotlight now were railing about the Americans bombing the innocent Afghan people. The dead civilians, the quagmire--it was all there.

For just one blatant example, here's Michael Moore on the subject. Note the odd complaint that we let Saddam go last time while sanctions killed half a million people. Being a leftist means never having to be consistent.

Oh, catch this one too.

Why pick out Michael Moore, an easy target? Sure, there are hundreds of screeching idiots on both sides of the political spectrum. But Moore was sitting in the presidential box at the convention.
