re: Everyone believes in something and

Sometimes that belief is based on something that can not be verified.

For instance if you believe that the "big bang" theory is correct, then you have several options for believing WHERE the space, mass, and energy came from and none of those theories can be "proven". Can anyone "prove" that mass has existed forever and will continue to do so? Can anyone "prove" that a creator does not exist?

My favorite "belief" is that space, mass, and energy were "created", and that "creation" happened seven "universal days" ago. A "universal day" is the time required for the universe to "begin" from a homogenous space/mass mixture (dark/night) go to the compressed state just before the big bang (light/day) and then expand again to the "maximum" point where the expansion stops and the "big crunch" begins.

If you can "prove" that this idea is wrong then please do so, I am willing to change my belief.
