They make shoes for the Fair Folk--oddly, never in pairs--and are paid in gold, which they sock away in pots. The ones under my bed use a coffee can, which was pretty much all they could come up with. Might have been a different story back in the age of the chamber pot.

I don't mess with the hoard. You want to be on really good terms with things that live under your bed while you sleep. I only disturb them when I vacuum, but they put up with it because otherwise the dust bunnies play havoc with their little sinuses. Thank God they go outside to smoke.
