Scientists also have to be able to use reason common sense, I do not hold religious scientists in contempt- I do have a problem with people that let their faiths, or desire for what they WISH were true totally overcome their reason and intellectual honesty...

What Lindy posted boils down to this: "some guy said that some other guys said they had unverifiable visions via mechanisms that have been repeatedly discredited that said that shit will happen and that aliens will be involved...etc etc..."

This is just garbage, and has no business here.
