Ever heard of a dearth of markets.

A sudden population loss like that would be devastating and would set us back hundreds of years. We might soon be living like those 15th century types that you mentioned.

Even if you got to pick who vanished and who didn't, it would be a disaster of huge consequence. It might even leave you picking up garbage.

If I were you I would go hide for a few days.
