If you wish to try to rewrite it, go ahead. "Right" and "accurate" are not always synonyms.

Incidentally, Christianity also had great appeal to the slave classes. It pointed out that human beings had equal value in spite of their economic status. Try pointing that out at your Republican Party meetings. Social justice, anyone?
