No, no, no

You only have to look at the numbers of Christians, Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists in the world and then consider the vastly disproportionate number of Muslims regularly commiting atrocities around the globe to realise something is very wrong with Islam today. If you think it's just a matter of (mis)interpretation, there must still be deeply flawed or overly ambiguous in its teachings to be misinterpreted so readily to justify one murderous depravity or another in the first place. Religions are NOT all created equally.

This rush to excuse Islam reminds me of those who try to argue there's nothing inherently "wrong" with Marxism, even though every variation of its application to human society has resulted in cruelty, deprivation, torture and death on an unimaginable scale throughout the 20th century. Furthermore, if you just label the practioners as "sick", you divorce them from any notion of responsibility or cognizance, since sickness is a malady that just happens and takes total control when it manifests itself.

Maybe there is a cure, but what is it?
