Last summer I took my family to Hogle zoo in Salt Lake City. We stopped for lunch at one of the fast food places in the zoo and ordered fries and chicken strips for my 2 girls (ages 5 and 2) My 5 year old was eating her chicken strips while watching some live chickens that were pecking at the trail just outside of the seating area. She made the comment that chickens must like to eat chicken because they have the same name. After my wife told her why they have the same name she slowly put the chicken strip back on the table and told us she was done with her lunch. I had to chuckle a little at her lost innocense, but the truth has to come forward some time. After that she became much more interested in where the meat comes from, but it hasn't deterred her from eating it.
