re: Eurabia, Dhimmitude

Well, there are kooks on both sides.

In the particular case of Ba'at Yeor, it's mostly that she was so extreme. Listening to her, you'd have thought that no Christian had ever laid a hand on Jew in all of history, but that anti-Semitism was one of the two or three core beliefs of Islam. That'd be news to the Jews who fled formerly Muslim-held spain for other Islamic lands after the Catholics reconquered it. Likewise, she portrayed Muslims as barbarians who had smashed the flourishing culture of the West (Byzantium maybe, but Western Europe around 800??) and never produced anything beautiful or intelligent of their own. Yet again, news to anyone familiar with the history of astronomy, math, medicine, etc.

In terms of the current era, she posits that the current immigratiuon to Europe from places like Turkey and North Africa has nothing to do with poor people seeking jobs, like Mexicans moving to Texas, but is a deliberate strategy by Muslim leaders to infiltrate and outbreed the West.

I think even the conservatives here might see some "kookness" in that, but if you're throwing around terms like Eurabia or Dhimmitude, that's who you're citing.
