If education is about brainwashing and control, who taught you to read?
The educational arena is about brainwashing and control. So long as the kids know who Martin Luther King is, it doesn't matter if they can read. If they know that cars and factories create global warming, it doesn't matter if they can multiply into two digits. "Those who can't do - teach" needs to be updated to "Those who can't compete in current society - exploit the young in the quest of shaping future society to their liking."
Go sit in a classroom and see what's really going on instead of resenting the fact that so many teachers are liberals. It'll be very educational for you.
Do you know why so many teachers are liberals? Because there's so little money in it, that's why.
