Flame » in reply to "What do you think will change with Zarqawi's death?"

I don't know exactly what will happen.

The selection of the new ministers was just as important today, and I'm still waiting for more input on who exactly they are. If Iraq moves quickly to establish security, there's a better chance of success. This will mean a lot of fighting with Sadr and others, which will be seen as more "failure" by those who seem to believe that the best sign that you are winning a war is that nobody is shooting at you.

Still, Zarqawi is dead, and the government of Iraq still exists and is moving forward. I call that a plus any way you turn it around. Al Qaeda in Iraq is pretty much dead meat, and we'll see in the future how much they were driving the rest of the insurgency.

Now that we've dealt with your change of subject, analyzing the future of Iraq based on this event was not, as I keep saying, the point of this thread. Rorschach Test has an exact meaning, doesn't it?

I saw out there in the news and opinions on the net what the responses were, and I can tell from most of the responses exactly what outcome the responder wants to see in this war.

Robert, the people hoping for failure aren't kidding anyone.
