re: I don't know exactly what will happen.

Thanks for answering my question. It isn't an attempt to "turn it around", it's a legitimate question in its own right, as well as in the context of your apparent obsession with proving the malevolency and anti-Americanism of Democrats. You're hardly alone in pursuing that tactic; it seems in fact to be the main tactic of Conservatives, especially this year. Are you following Hugh Hewitt's advice to "go negative"?

I'll concede that demonizing Democrats has had some limited success in recent years, enough to gain the couple of percentage points at the polls to bring Republicans to power. But that vicious demagoguery is rapidly losing its power. Against a backdrop of indictments and the K Street Project ("Lobbyists, Inc.--a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Republican National Committee") and legislative disarray and the ongoing problem of Iraq and revelations of illegal domestic spying, it's starting to sound more than a little strident and defensive. The worse Republicans look, the harder you have to work to make Democrats look even worse. It's going to be harder and harder to roll that boulder up the hill, Sisyphus my man.

Does it seem to you like this tactic is working? I didn't see any "amen, brother!"s on this thread. Your fellow Conservatives seem more inclined to talk about the substantive questions surrounding Zarqawi's death, rather than obsess over the media coverage of it.
