To reveal evidence of a possible crime is not aiding and abetting.

Mary Anne — 10/5/2006 4:57:15 PM (archived)

It's reporting. If no one reported possible crimes, they would go undetected. This is an ongoing problem with many crimes, sex crimes in particular, because the victim is too embarrassed or too frightened to come forward.

Concealment after the fact is aiding and abetting.
