Hastert is R. Foley is R. Hastert (R) ignored Foley's (R) predations.
Because both were R.
Now he's saying he didn't know. Had it been a D, a Clinton, a Kennedy, he'd of known and acted.
(Whatever became of "knew or should have known", like when your staff is informed one of your Republicans is harassing pages?)
This particular case of hypocrisy is Republican Hyprocrisy.
To say that Ds can be hypocritical, too, is true. And it's an attempt to whitewash the Hastert (R) - Foley (R) matter, where the predations of a Republican were ignored by another Republican.
I'll even surmise it was used to keep Foley in line for important votes.
Now, more of same. Watch the Republican House Leadership investigate the Republican House Leadership.
