But I suspect that you are wrong. I think that when we leave, the power struggle will not decrease and may increase. I think that there will be continuing deaths at current or enhanced rates for an extended period of time. I think that when this happens, the world will even more loudly blame the US for the mess in Iraq.

We have a tiger by the tail. Continuing to hold on forever makes no sense, and there's no comfortable way to let go of it.
