Now yer talking some sense. And you're already blaming Democrats.

Of course people would want to withdraw from Afghanistan. It's a non-nation to begin with, always has been more tribal than national, and the tribes have always kicked the shit out of anyone who tried to dominate them.

And will continue to do so. The US, NATO, call it what you will. It's a non-nation and you ain't gonna change that. Fer Crissake, you haven't even found OBL. How's that for powerful, smart, etc. And if he's found today, look at how long it took. Utter, abject, humilitating failure. The world's most powerful nation confronting a third-world hick.

You are already blaming Democrats for losing in Iraq. Think of that. Already blaming. The world's most powerful nation confronting a bunch of third-world hicks without WMDs, nukes, etc.

Bush hasn't done it in over 3 years, and has no plans for doing anything differently now. It can't happen the way he's doing it. What does it take to see that?

Naturally there will be an increase in "terrorism", whether the US stays or not. Bush's policies have created so much more hatred for the US that people everywhere will either be taking potshots at Americans or applauding those who do. That's irreversible for a long, long time, and will take a drastically changed foreign policy even then.

The answer isn't, "If it doesn't work, try it harder".
