"VOLCANIC CO2 is labled as such isotopically, due to its origin- I have posted that fact from many sources over and over but you dont want to get it- you cant blame volcanoes for the increase- you want to play teenage scientist, go right ahead- just at least show you are putting some effort into it..."
Then it should be really easy to determine how much of current CO2 in the atmosphere is due to volcanic origin. And the amount of volcanic CO2 in the ocean would also be interesting to know.
As far the increase in CO2, I have said on numerous occasion that think it's quite possible that about 50% of the increase is due human emission, though it could be less, and I doubt it's more.
My main point about "global warming" is that there is a lot pseudo science connected to the subject. Al Gore's raving about 20' rise in sea level is one clear example of this.
Now the main issue about CO2 is what would be correct policy decisions in regard to it. I, and I believe you too, accept that building more nuclear power plants would the best course of action at this point in time. And we should not forget that the Left is of course the most responsible for our current shortage of nuclear power plants- due to an earlier pseudo science campaign in which they had convinced a large percentage of the population to have a highly irrational fear of nuclear power. So if current global CO2 level are important, it should be remembered that the Left [and their pseudo science] is largely to blame for putting a very large chuck of that CO2 in the atmosphere.
There are of other significant ways of reducing global CO2 which don't include massive taxes and the govt passing laws which interfere with the lives of it's citizens.
But even without any new building of nuclear power plants and without doing anything which is vaguely reasonable, I still doubt that CO2 levels in the atmosphere is a very important issue in regards to our future [50, 100, or 1000 years from now]. I think the war in Iraq is far more important. I think handling malaria in Africa and rest of the world, is far more important [a problem largely resulting from more Lefty pseudo science, btw]. I think that space exploration is far more important. I think reforms to public educational system is probably the most important issue we face, but at same time we seem unable to do anything effective- and btw this has nothing to do with the quantity of money thrown at it.
Global warming is probably one of the least important thing that we should concerned about at this point in time. But according to the idiots, the science is done [case closed], and it's something that requires trillions of dollars to be spent on it- else we are all doomed.
We are living in one of the coldest periods of Earth history, the Lefties are flying around in personal jets whining about CO2 [whatever is fashionable at any particular moment], govts in the world have already spend over 200 billions dollars to lower CO2 levels [which has had an absolutely insignificant effect on lowering CO2- if any]. Clinton- Gore could done something to lower CO2 and did NOTHING. Bush has done far more about CO2- actions which will actually have some effect- and therefore it is only logical that Bush somehow some way the cause of Global warming.
Now, we have had some lefties talk about the need to build more nuclear reactors- but it's almost ignored- except there is some news value because it's the "man bites dog" kind of news story. Probably Space elevators get more press and are considered as "serious".
And frankly, your concern about the Pseudo science or simple wackiness of UFO and aliens is another example of being overly concerned about some relatively insignificant matter, then compared to the much more significant damage that can be done by the pseudo science regarding "Global warming".

- I still don't see why it's temperature dependent. (n/t)
- 'Heavy' water molecules will evaporate from the ocean at a different rate than light ones
- R.L. That makes sense; however, is that truely indicative of "global" tempatures or just "polar region" tempatures?
- A pretty good article at Wikipedia
- There are also small chemical differences in how differing isotopic water compositions react
- I knew that. I was just too dumb to think of it. (n/t)
