re: Quit stabilizing the boat!

Sure. That's true. Now we have to look at the harm associated with one and the other. By shutting down industries, making gasoline engines illegal and forcing restrictions on mileage for others and you will depress an economy all while lowering incomes, taking away the quality of life for billions of people, slowing progress, innovation and basic and advanced research in one clean stroke.

But now we now have the proponents of the "man-made" global warming scenario saying it is inevitable - that it's too late to change man's careless stewardship of the earth and we are all doomed anyway - so that way they can justify increases in temperature (which the smarter ones know is caused by solar variance and so have invented this ruse to cover their misdiagnosis) even after they have castrated industry, lowered incomes and lowered the quality of life - while they personally or politically profit.

The sane money is on leaving things much as they are, researching much more and getting back to it with more data. Anyone with common sense knows that trying to fix things of which one has no true understanding of how they work, usually leads to breaking them.

There's enough poverty, hunger and primitive living conditions present all over the world - applying a fake fix, to benefit a few and cause more suffering for many, is for those who are ignorant, spiteful or have succumbed to cultivated hysteria.
