Somebody could test the theory that guns prevend breaking and entering.

You could place conspicuously "Protected by Smith and Wesson" stickers on 100 homes and place no such sticker on 100 other homes...Then as an additional control, place a gun in 100 homes with and 100 homes without the sticker. A total of 400 homes in all.

200 have guns, 200 do not, 200 have stickers, 200 do not.

Now follow the results.

My guess: The 100 homes without the stickers but with the guns result in more dead robbers.
