Any choice made under any circumstance involves analyzing the alternatives. I can understand why you and some others here really don't want to go there. It spoils your own fantasies, such as "Saddam was contained and stable," "If the U.S. leaves Iraq, it will All Go Away," and several others.

Everything in that post is based on straightforward analysis based on known facts.
