Awesome. Thanks Marcia!
It probably creates a romantic backdrop to a lot of evenings. After Castro and communism finally are purged, and imports resume, I hope the residents will keep the tradition and vehicles going. In fact, I hope they can get access to lots of the parts they need to correctly restore them and keep them running. They have had to keep these vehicles going by creative ingenuity and morphed parts for almost fifty years - it would be so sweet to see a concerted effort by certain car companies and enthusiast organizations to systematically restore these remnants of both a glorious era and to act as a symbol of Cuban ingenuity.
