There is a mind set that the State is first in their heart. It started with secession and was forged by a cruel reconstruction.

I am proud of Alabama for a few things and embarrassed by more than a few things.

My pride is mainly in the natural beauty of the State. I have been in nearly every State and few can match Alabama, border to border.
