Not sure a party that has made "Bush Sucks" almost its entire platform for eight years has a lot to say about that.
Maybe you missed the 2006 election, and the Democrats in Washington standing around like the dog that finally caught the fire truck. They've got nothing. At least nothing newer than thirty years old.
"optimism" and "hope" are not policies, and, unless you are an airhead, not enough to go on. I've seen Obama's policies, having spent a lot of time on his website. I've heard what he wants to do domestically, and in foreign policy. Given the likelihood of a comfortable Democratic majority in Congress and the Senate, he's going to have a pretty easy time pushing those ideas.
Oh, yes, things could definitely be worse under Democrats.
