"cough up the address"

Not bloodly likely, not when I'm playing dog-in-the-manger to tap into the smear traffic. Suffice it to say that it's basically another Swift Boat Vets etc., dedicated to "exposing the truth", that is, to making up outrageous lies to smear Obama.

It's not the first RightWing mailing list I've joined, and heard about this one because one of those lists sold my name to these new swifties. I got the pitch in an email with the amusing subject line 'Breaking ... Obama "Swiftboating" Plan Revealed', and as I said, it never ceases to tickle me to hear Republicans use the term "swiftboating".

I'm not too worried about getting busted for spying on the inner workings of a Republican smear campaign. For one, they must know that the more successful they are in "getting out the word", the more certain it is to leak out from under a rock and see the light of day. For another, in this instance I agreed to forward the smears in support of their mission statement:

The objective is to cause our messages to go “viral” and to reach millions of people who otherwise may not see or traditional television ad spots. This is a radically new and innovative approach to political marketing. . . and it has the added benefit of not being limited by McCain Feingold!

...and I'd say that posting them on the HabitableZone is entirely consistent with what I signed up to do. If it embarrasses them to see their smears dissected by a non-Winger audience, that's their problem.
