Did you even bother to READ the post before replying with this caustic nonsense? Apparently not, as I see nothing substantive in your reply.

I offered the news item for general consumption, and additionally offered several other observations and opinions with specific references.

If you take umbrage with a specific point I've made, please address it technically, without name-calling and other uncalled-for ranting. Quite unscientific, though typical of the quality of discussion online, unfortunately.

Can we possibly discuss the issues rationally, without bringing apparent emotional knee-jerk reactions into the picture or screaming that the sky is falling?

I also see no reason why this post should have been moved out of the space section, as it specifically addresses physical observations of the sun and raises pointed technical issues requiring redress. I respectfully request that it be moved back, as it is NOT off-topic (vituperous comments from ARRELL, aside). Thank you.
