My answer is YES to all your questions so far. (And answer to Laurie)

YES I have not seen or read any evidence anywhere that would prove that the movement (current) of electrons can be excluded from magnetic effects.

2) “are magnetic field strengths dependent on the magnitude of the source current”?
YES I have not seen or read any evidence anywhere that would prove otherwise.

3) “is the magnetic field topology dependent upon the strength + direction of the current”?
YES I have not seen or read any evidence anywhere that would prove otherwise.

Sorry I do not have the time to explain my understanding of the phenomenon at this moment.
Perhaps another time.

You were right.
I obtained the same quantity as you did to the question of the amount of energy that the total annihilation of 2 protons would create.

I used the formula E=(u/k)C to figure it out.
