It would seem that forced redistribution of wealth *is* forced morality. I never considered it in this way before.
Odd...I owe my ass to the crediters...~sigh~...BUT I can *SAFELY* say it is about 1/3 due by and large, to helping *my circle* of friends and family. I wanted to do it...and I have only myself to blame for my financial debacle. I am hoping to pay off my debt when I sell Moms' house that she "gave" me...so I am not too worried. If I lose everything in the mean time...it is MY concern...and I can always live in a trailer eating carrot sticks and peanut butter. That thought doesn't scare me.
It reminds me of taking a test in school. I worked my ass off for that A..why should I let someone cheat off my paper?
Forced morality has religious undertones.
