Tom said it below better than I EVER could.

Now...as for me and my personal belief system and choices. I am reminded of a story about a little boy on the beach. Some strange weather phenomonon occured and THOUSANDS of starfish washed up on the shore. The little boy walked along the beach and began throwing the starfish one at a time back into the ocean. An elderly gentleman walking near by witnessed the young boys' efforts. "Youngin', he quipped...why do you throw the starfish back in the ocean?...There are thousands..it will not do any good. You can't save them all"
The little boy looked up and smiled.."I know...but I can save what I can...and how thankful the ones I DO save will be".
I do not condone forced redistribution of wealth.
