re: Two questions:
I don't know. If the "basic needs" theory holds up, where does that leave Bill Gates and his foundation?
The library in my wife's home town has two walls of bricks with names of donors on them. The local Ronald McDonald house has sidewalk tiles. The benches in the park have names, and some of the trees. Donor lists on websites are everywhere.
Geez, give them a brick on the sidewalk if they want one.
You're working way too hard to keep that "greedy bastards" label glued in place, and I'm not sure I want to go to that much more work to try and peel it off.
