Sentimental about poverty
There is so much wrong with this I don't have time to deal with it right now.
I have to go to work. You know, to work for some of the impoverished. Let me tell you something: while they smile at you when you pay them for the home repairs and the gardening, they come to me with their problems. I see and hear a lot different world than you do.
And do you know what my programming budget is this coming fiscal year? Zero. I will have to beat the bushes for individual sponsors for children's programming to keep it free. (I already develop, present and underwrite supplies for the art activities and the mini-science workshops myself.) But we get less than half of our budget from government entities, so that's OK.
