For the most part I really liked it.

I had a hard time swallowing the whole leaving the technology behind. I would have at least left the best ships in orbit. And it wouldn’t have hurt the plot line. It is unlikely any ship would have stayed in orbit 150,000 years. Eventually orbital decay would bring it down and odds are it would break up over the ocean.

I can believe most would not want to return to the cramped smelly quarters of the ships they were trapped in for all those years.

There is one good reason I can see for not wanting ships in orbit. If you remember that on New Caprica, the Cylons spotted their ships in orbit. Knowing there may be some Cylons still wanting to hunt them down, it might be a good idea not to leave the ships in orbit.

Overall, I liked it. Some of the things I had guessed, but some I was way off.
