They let the Centurions go free

Complete with their own Basestar.

I am willing to bet these Cylons didn't settle down on some planet,
fly their abandoned ship into the local star, and put on loincloths as I
said elsewhere in the thread.

While it seems they did not go to Earth and attack the humans, I do
wonder what they went on to do with their society? Were the writers
saving them for some future plot?

I want to say that the Colonials should not have dumped their own
ships into the Sun, but the Galactica was pretty much scrap by the
time they got to Earth and I keep wondering how all those other ships
of the fleet survived all they had through the last four years. With the
pounding that the Galactica took, those other ships should have been
metal dust ages ago.

If a band of Cylons did attack the humans once they were on Earth, I
got the feeling that most of them would have just laid down and died,
and not just because they had gotten rid of most of their technology,
which I presume included their weapons. They were willing to give up
just about everything else their ancestors had struggled for to live like
a bunch of throwbacks, so what was one more loss?
