Just keep in mind your guys had 6 years in control and never attempted to do anything about the entitlement mess looming on the horizon. Obama is making a serious effort in his first year to set health care costs on stable ground for the long term, and those numbers won't show up for at least a decade. He has also said he will tackle SS solvency next year. We'll see. But if these two big issues are addressed then our future looks a lot better.
As for the present problems, I'm through arguing with you about the importance of government stimulus during recessions, but the numbers don't lie and every politician who understands the issue knows it too. ER's right, if the situation were reversed the Dems would be crying about the deficits and the Repubs would hopefully be doing the responsible thing.
I know I personally wouldn't be throwing out partisan bullshit though.
