I'm sorry Tom but every damned one of us from time to time in our lives has found our tax burden to be untenable and had to game the system a bit to get by. By game the system I don't mean anything illegal.
I haven't. Even in years when I've had to borrow money to pay the tax due. And as someone who's self-employed, there have been some damn big bites.
And neither have one hell of a lot of other people.
Amazing how it's all good when it's Democrats, or those on a "different plane" are doing it.
At least half a dozen of Obama's senior employees have had "tax problems." That's a lot. Some of these might charitably be put under "honest mistakes," which is understandable when our tax system is literally insane. The IRS finds something you honestly missed, and you pay it up as soon as you get the note.
But others were, as you put it, trying to "game the system," i.e. try not to get caught pulling a fast one. This is particularly annoying when you put such a person in charge of our tax system.
It's funny how these "mistakes" never left any of them paying too much.
