Re: Re: Re: Blatantly misleading TV Ad

The point is that the government can pull the rug out from under you at any time. One day you are covered and your wait times are 2 months and then you find your wait times are 6 months and all sorts of things are not covered. When you have a contract in the private sector you can sue if a company breeches contract or tries to weasel out of coverage. With the government you have no recourse.

It's hard to compete with the free lunch. There will ALWAYS be those for whom the free lunch is their first choice. The rest who want to pick their own lunch and know that relying on someone else for your lunch is both unintelligent and morally undesirable, will always be outnumbered by the free lunch crowd.

It's really that simple. Socialism is an anathema to individual freedom. It is the ball and chain that imprisons millions with less freedom for cookie-cutter service and turns them into slaves of the state. Individual and private enterprise are the heart and soul of progress, development, diversity, creativity and freedom.

It all really depends on how much you value yourself and have faith in your abilities as an individual. If you have a choice and choose to stick your hand out - it never ends. Your freedom, self-respect and humanity all start their decline from there.

The government, which is in the business of controlling others, loves it when people diminish themselves and stick their hands out.
