Don't assume the existence of a furious political debate is a reliable indicator that a real crisis exists. This isn't about health care. It's about power, and control of a huge portion of America's wealth.
As soon as you look at the polls, you see the same answers over and over again: Huge majorities that say "My health care and insurance are fine, thanks, but America's health care is going into the crapper. Why? Because they keep telling me so."
This would hardly be the first "crisis" manufactured in order to allow the State to accumulate more power. Conservatives can think of a few, and so can liberals.
