At some point, when faced with the real statistics instead of anecdotes, everyone backs into the corner of "one is one too many!"
And for this, we need to destroy a system that works for the vast majority of people and rebuild it in the image of a socialist fantasy. This despite examples of how MORE people fall through the cracks under such socialist systems. Pity that all the work I did on the old board has been wiped out.
It wasn't enough to socialize health care for the elderly and poor (which are going broke), it has to be done for everyone. What's the real reason for why the Democrats keep trying to haul in the middle class? Easy. There aren't enough elderly and poor in America to give them the power base they want.
This is about power and control. The proof of this is how quickly and firmly any solutions to real issues are discarded that don't deliver more power and control to the State.
Explained by Mark Steyn in detail here.
