Freedom of choice
My rates have been going up every year, and my rates for next year (announced last month) went up substantially. I have now determined my employer-subsidized health insurance is now inadequate to meet my needs, I only stay in the system because the only "choice" I have is to either go solo, or have no insurance at all.
And going solo is not an option, I have a "pre-existing condition".
