Re: Re: Re: Hysterical

The world is changing. It has always changed. Depending on the set of morals, values, goals and desires one possesses, these goals are interpreted as good or bad. Objectifying them collectively is impossible as long as we are all unique.

I recall when I was younger that oldsters were a grouchy lot and always complaining about the 'new' things. The new cars were made of spit, the new music was noise, the clothes were indecent and the nation was going to seed. From their viewpoint they were absolutely right. Their kids tended to march in the opposite direction. And then their kids turn it back around yet again. Anyone see what is happening here?

The simple sine wave. Up then down, positive and negative, energy constantly reversing polarity. Our children are not carbon copies but are 'technically' energy that is often in opposition to that which spawned it.

So we watch the Presidents go from left to right to left and back again as each action spawns a reaction. Obama is toast because the same huge surge that put him in office will cause the reactionary wash out. When greenies and their global warming dogma get too fanatical and want to dictate the way everyone lives, the backlash is equally intense. Wait until the news stories hit monthly about how the fluorescent bulbs have completely poisoned our fish supply with mercury. Sure, they'll supress it until after the incandescent ban kicks in..but then it will come out and there will be a backlash again.

There is no way to save the world. The world is a sum of individuals at varying levels with varying needs. TB doesn't realize that watching things go to heck is par for the course. It all depends upon your perspective. While TB sees it crumble, the young leftist is eager and ecstatic about crumbling down the old structures.

Once one realizes this, everything makes sense and one can't get upset. TB is perfectly fine doing what he's doing. The responses here are also perfectly fine and also to be expected.

Balance. That's the secret to life. Happiness is all about balance. If everyone here had their most fantastic dreams fulfilled they would still find themselves unhappy. Sure, everyone would deny this - but it is inescapable - because that's the way energy/life works.
