"But if I want to keep my freedom and property, I need to change their views. Or go somewhere else."
nobody cares about your freedom, tb. now your property, that's something else. beware, those obsessed with acquiring property never change their views, no matter what you tell them, what they tell you, or what philosophy they claim to adhere to. if i were tb i'd be more afraid of tb's allies than tb's rivals.
and if you ever feel the need to go somewhere else, don't forget about the great white north. we've always welcomed americans running from their government.

But it is easy to make money."
