^What scares us is that you're so concerned about what everyone else believes, and seem so desperately determined to change everyone else's mind.^
My basic beliefs are that nobody has the right to run my life, and I don't have the right to run anyone else's.
Now what if someone else believes that he or she (or more often, their government surrogates) have the right to run my life no matter what my views are?
See the difference?
He or she doesn't need to change my views to succeed. And my views don't intrude on their lives. But if I want to keep my freedom and property, I need to change their views. Or go somewhere else.
I don't have a national forum, and you're quite right that even if I changed everyone's mind here, it would gain me nothing in the real world, but it's worth finding out if it can be done on a small scale.
