I've seen idiots across the country throw out many solutions. Price controls. Nationalization.
All of them basically the same idea: The government should stomp hard on the companies in some magical way that will allow the crushed remnants to perform better than they perform now.
Pink fog.
I carefully explained the main reason for all this: $800 million to take a single drug through the approval process. Fix that, and you'll fix a lot of the rest.
Otherwise, I'm open for suggestions. Remember, that $800 million is not optional under current regulations.
