They lie.

<What we’re becoming.

Please note. No more mention of running a toll booth, no more mention of the TNT the dogs smelled. (They lie. Honest.)

(Now, they may have run the booth, but there's no mention of a ticket, and I know, you don't, that the authorities would have hung anything they could on these guys. And they may have found 400 pounds of TNT, if not in the car at their homes, but I suspect the authorities would have mentioned that, too. I mean, if the dogs smelled it, they could get a warrant.)

“At the time of their release, authorities called the incident a prank by the men, but officials were backing off that theory a few hours later.” (They lie.)

Someone else, who seems to know something, said the following.

"I think it's premature at this point in time to call it a prank or a hoax," said Carlos Alvarez, the director of the Miami-Dade Police Department.” (Carlos knows they lie, says it very gently.)

Now, back to even more "bull". Uncooperative! These guys were “uncooperative”?

“Authorities had referred to the three men as being uncooperative, even as they were being released. Asked if they were indeed uncooperative, Gheith acknowledged authorities could have interpreted that way:
"I made it clear to them that I would prefer them not to search my car. Maybe that's what they assumed as not cooperative, and I take that as my prerogative because I know there is nothing in my car," he said. “

I wonder what they would call it if they ran across a really, really uncooperative subject. These Florida cops must lead sheltered lives.

I can imagine - "No, officer, with all due respect, just because some woman chewing her way through the "Whole Hog" special imagines I said something is not a basis for letting you search my car."

Uncooperative indeed. Not quite a lie, I guess. Just shows how soft these guys are.

Now, the dogs reacted to TNT. The cops said they had evidence of the presence of TNT. So they could search the car. And, no TNT. What does that tell you?

It says to a reasonable person that they will search if they want, using the dogs as an excuse. My guess is that those dogs are trained to respond to asphalt and concrete. (Could have been TNT in the car at one time, doesn’t seem likely, does it?)

And did you notice how the local brain trust responded when someone suggested this episode was bogus? Let me quote one –

“I think if they are fully innocent, then they must have acted in some way to aggrevate the situation, which very likely was a crime in and of itself.”

Even if they are innocent they are guilty. That’s good!

Remember. They lie.

Arf (and because it was Florida our resident brain trust will find a way to claim they didn’t lie. Or that it was OK. Or the always popular, Well, either they will be vigilant or there'll be another 9-11. Is that what you want?)
