<I wonder why the Georgia police passed on such an anemic tip to the Florida police. Was there no other witness in a whole restaurant? What would you think, if you were a Florida cop, if the police in Georgia passed on information like that? Would you assume they had a good tip? If it was such good evidence, why did it take until 1 o'clock in the morning to pull these men over if the conversation was allegedly overheard at breakfast the previous morning?
There never was a dragnet for them, simply because it was a call of suspicion, not a charge.
Well, I can’t find it now and, to save cyber-bux, MSNBC has conveniently overwritten Marcia’s original post of this, but the police had stated that the were not hunting for the cars in question, but when responding to the toll booth violation the license was recognized as one Miami should be aware of. That’s where 2 + 2 came together -- and eventually came up with 5.
