The spanish press and media showed all the march 11 tragedy around Madrid , the bodies, the mess, everything.
OTOH, in Alsace, a jewish cemetery was desecrated and lots of pro Nazi graffiti were found and a huge protest followed.
This has happened years ago elsewhere in France, and the culprits were a bunch of young delinquent kids playing a role game. Nobody knows yet how many were involved last thursday night.
The photos of the abuses are most certainly the tip of an iceberg and even then, only involve a small number of soldiers.
Nevertheless, even when we see how so many things are doing "fine" in Iraq, a few terrorist attacks are enough to "justify" keeping troops in the country for years!
Sensitivity from locally related events goes both sides.
You see how many things would have been avoided by not waging war in Iraq and let the UN do its job.
War is dirty, chaotic, produces hatred, revenge, grief.
And the US was arrogant enough to think it could risk it.
For what?
