When Has The UN Succeeded At A Tough Task?

The effectiveness of Iraqi sanctions was falling under the UN.

They were failing because France and Russia were undermining them for klickbacks

The UN would never have sanctioned an attack because Russia and France would always have vetoed it. This is obvious from the efforts trhat were made to get UN approval.

The UN oil for food program was corrupt and enriched Hussein.

The UN runs from from difficult tasks as it did in Haiti and Iraq.

It is a toothless nearly useless organization which has not accomplished near as much as the US on it's own in it's entire history.

Let the UN solve the problems is a laughable fairy tale.

Mark (former UN supporter now disgusted)
